What's Comcast plan do you have (UL/DL)?

The cheaper MOTOROLA SB6121 might be fine. The difference is between 4 or 8 channels but this is not an issue until you hit around 160Mbps. The additional channels may help with consistent but again should not be an issue until you get over 100Mbps.

i dont understand a lot about networking.....ul/dl? my plan is 28 down and 6 up,but i think it can hit 50 down with a better modem. the reason i think this is because when i had they're all in one modem/router i hit 50 down ,and 11 up.

but they told me they have no docsis 3 moden that is just a modem. i would have to switch to they're all in one. so now im stuck using a docsis 2.0. i dont think i have anything to lose by moving to my own modem?

ul/dl...upload/download?
