Anybody else getting ready for Wildstar?

Thread Starter
I got tired of WoW, cancelled my sub (ended April 4) and started looking for something different in the way of an MMORPG to play.

What I found was Wildstar.

Being a huge Firefly fan, I was drawn to the Frontier Space opera style of this game and appreciated the "tongue in cheek" and extremely visible pokes at the MMORPG genre. I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously but offered a lot of what I like in an MMORPG.

End game has many different progression paths including 20 and 40 man raids, dungeons, adventures (5 man PvE content that is never the same twice), PvP to include arenas, battlegrounds and the new concept of Warplots, character housing actually designed by the social interaction team to drive higher levels of social content, as well as solo PvE progression.

I pre-ordered and have been playing in the weekend betas that are ongoing before an open beta and release (June3). I know there's no beta this weekend, but am looking forward to the final UI that we see next weekend.

HAs anybody else been checking out this game?

I definitely am. I've been in beta almost a year and the devs seem to get it.
