AMD A10-7850k HTPC Gaming

Thread Starter
I am looking to build another HTPC, but want to be able to do some light gaming mostly single player, but maybe run diablo 3 and dota2 for my lans. Is a AMD 7850k strong enough for me in a build for this? I have no experience with APU's.

The GPU on the A10-7850K appears to perform between R7 240 and R7 250. If you dial down settings or resolution, it should be enough for those games. Personally, for around the same price as the 7850K, I'd rather opt for Pentium or i3 Haswell paired with R7 250 or nicer GPU.

Mind, if you don't expect a minimum 60 fps framerate, I reckon the 7850K would be sufficient even for 1080p high quality.
