The ultra pixel camera is supposed to shine in low light. Where it often does.
Bt hey, they are beaten by Nokia in that department.

HTC had way more to improve on so ofcourse the update is gonna be bigger. I don't buy phones based on who makes the biggest update

I buy based on productivity and camera performance.

HTC fails in both.

You will get used to the normal colors and then when u look back to AMOLED you will think something is wrong with that over-saturation of colors. Thats what i though at first going from Galaxy Nexus to Nexus 4 IPS.

Lol yes it takes a while to get used to other screens after using amoled.

But I never get the feeling hat something is wrong with an amoled screen. I am always so amazed with the quality.

With that said I think the last HTC one screen was better than the S4 screen.

FYI Galaxy Nexus screen was crap...

The Note 2, Note 3, S4, and S5 look nothing like the Galaxy Nexus AMOLED. The Galaxy Nexus has one of the worst screens I've ever seen on a phone. It was acceptable at 75% and up brightness, but anything else had terrible contrast and less-than-acceptable viewing angles. Fortunately, the Nexus 4 and 5 did not follow that trend.

Well I picked up my S5 on Saturday, upgrading from a S3. All I can say is that I am impressed. Everything I can think of is better, the screen looks great, the battery life is wayyyyyyy better and the dust/water proofing is a very nice perk. I looked at the M8 and a buddy has the G2 and I think I have picked the better phone. The UI looks good and they have changed some things for the better. Overall I am very happy.

why not copy the next paragraph...of course the M8 has night time advantage, however, this next part seemed odd to exclude

Fortunately the GS5 holds up well in good lighting conditions. My pictures were slightly more detailed than they were on the GS4 and One M8. I didn't have to make any adjustments to the settings in direct sunlight, whereas the M8 tends to take blown-out shots if I don't dial back the exposure a notch or two. Image quality was also on par with the iPhone 5s, with only slight variations in color saturation.

Well the person I quote made remarks against it's Ultra Pixel feature which obviously shines in nighttime and a camera shows it's true performance in low light conditions. My Moto G takes decent shots in day light but sucks at night and for this very reason it has been criticized. Nokia has no match in this department though.

"Galaxy" - named for the size of one.

Just got mine today, big improvement from my ancient Galaxy Nexus. Does anyone know where the supposedly integrated Spritz speed reader is?
