Hi,

A computer is going to be built for a friend, he will mainly use it for emails, internet, storage..etc, he wants it to be really reliable.

So I was thinking an integrated amd cpu (no gpu).

I am just unsure on which parts to get, he wants it to be fairly reliable as his last pc lasted for about 10 years.

Thanks.

PS: Will be buying from this store, not sure if he wants monitor included in price or not, but basically all peripherals, mouse, keyboard, etc.

You can get a pc to last 10 years but it certainly will be pretty slow by any standard for the last few years of that window.

yes, does anyone recommend anything in particular for his needs, or do I just close my eyes and hope for the best ? thumb.gif

Thanks

Have a look at this. Monitor is included in price and no headset. No video card as dedicated is enough for what he will do (correct me on this if I'm wrong). 8GB ram is more than enough, downgrade to 4GB if you don't feel the need. Don't include the cooler if he will not overclock though.

Thanks I have changed two parts due to those not being in stock, I am almost certain that they would work but would like to double check.

I have changed the ram to Patriot Signature 8GB Kit (4Gx2) DDR3-1600 with the motherboard listed above in previous post

And

I have changed the CPU to a 7700K Quad Core 3.4Ghz .. will this be ok with stock cooler and motherboard + psu.

Thanks

Yes, CPU and motherboard are compatible. Stock cooler and PSU should be enough. Good luck on the build! smile.gif
