Whats the best...?

Hey all!

My Sig Rig needs to be updated.

Mainly cause the OCZ Revo X2 crashed, exploded and went supernova taking the data with it, and to replace it I have to remove the plumbing for the WC loop. mad.gif

Basically I'll keep the case, GPU's, WC loop and PSU. (These GPUs are INSANE on a WC loop!! thumb.gif)

Looking to upgrade the OS HDD to a 480GB Revo X3, will change the fans as 3 have died already, but would like recommendations and advice regarding:

1. CPU
2. Motherboard
3. RAM

The main goal for this is to be zero-load time and although I haven't gamed in over a year, since ESO came out... well.. redface.gif

Honestly I would just get a new SSD, and keep that CPU/Mobo, its still a great, not worth upgrading.

I say skip the Revo Drive and go with a 1TB 840 Evo or a 1TB Crucial M550

and I'm not sure about what you mean by quiet mechanical keyboard, that pretty much defeats the purpose of getting a mechanical keyboard desiring quietness

Yeah I brought an 840PRO 256 today as a temp drive, working nicely.

OCZ are going to take a look at the drive and hopefully replace the unit.

Only thing to figure now is if I bother or just send it to Payam for data recovery...

By mechanical keyboard I meant one that doesn't sound like a Razer Ultimate, this thing is a musical instrument.

I guess I'll keep the CPU/Mobo combo for a while, I heard Nvidia is coming out with a big GPU development in a couple years? If its that good I'll hold off for it. thumb.gif

Look for a mechanical with MX Brown switches. A lot quieter.

Thanks big stroonz! Is there anything funky I should know about HHKB Topre switches? They're apparently pretty quite too!

Also, my PC has powered off twice for no reason, and its run chkdsk 4 times in 2 days on a brand new HDD.. would this be indicative of a PSU or MB failure?
