Automatic picture Tagging?

Thread Starter
Hello, I have a large collection of desktop backgrounds (over 35000) and looking for software that will automatically tag images, rather than manual tagging for obvious reasons of the amount of time it would take to tag all of the pictures. I have found plenty of manual tagging software, but nothing automated. Does something like this even exist? Thank you.

argh! sorry, just realised you were after automatic tagging? Please ignore. Though, I'm still not sure what you mean by automatic tagging? Do you mean software that recognises the picture and tags it as what it is?

[original]

I found this article over at microsoft http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/tag-pictures-easier-find#1TC=windows-7 I'm not sure if that's what you're after?

That would be epic! lol, I recall having to do this as a university project where we had to write a program to recognize the traffic and pedestrians in a short clip.

I found the following site that might be of use, http://www.generalpicturerecognition.com/ While this is a paid solution, you may be able to find a free or trial version. Also don't forget to search for a possible phone app.

I did a very quick google and you essentially want to be looking for 'scene recognition', 'picture recognition', 'photo recognition' or 'image recognition'.
