Silent 140mm fan - replacement for Fractal R2 140MM

Yeah, so my Fractal is sort of faulty/noisy and I am kind of over-sensitive on sounds. Took me a while to figure out that it was the reason; I thought it was some kind of case resonance or the old CPU fan...

But as the side fan, it reduced GPU temp by 10c and VRM by 5c. I have used it with the 5V adapter and without, tried metal and rubber screws.

What SILENT 140mm fan would you recommend me? It will be mounted on the side, as intake, GPU-oriented fan

Thermalright TY-147 and Aeroshark 140mm (use the speed reducer) are good and quiet, Gentle Typhoons (AP-15 at 5v is nice and quiet).

Some good cheap alternatives are Gelid Silent 140mm or Yate Loon (run this at 5v or 7v)

To be honest any fan sub 1000 RPM should be fine for you, the difference between the 140mm and the 120mm isn't much when it comes to case fans. Have you tried to oil the fans bearings (See Ehume's work on this)?

TY-147 will need to be cut square to fit into Define R4 front mounts. Not hard to do if you have a good table saw or power miterbox and good trim blade. Just trim the round side enough so fan is 140-141mm X 140-141mm
