3770k + Sabertooth Z77 OC voltages.

I am trying to get my 3770k stable at 4.9Ghz and i would like some input on the various voltage options for mobo/Cpu that i don't completely understand. my current Vcore is 1.430, Its stable in prime 95 for about 10-15 minutes, then prime 95 stops responding, no BSOD's . i have a beefy aftermarket cooler (forgot the name), and my max temps currently are 80c.

Before i up the voltage on Vcore,i would like some help with these voltages.

VCCSA 0.975
CPU PLL 1.7
PCH 1.05
CHA DATA 0.5
CHA CTRL 0.5
CHB DATA 0.5
CHB CTRL 0.5

Thanks for reading.

Increase the VCCSA voltage by a one or few notches and report back if it's improving the stability of your overclock. What temperatures are you reaching on the CPU?

I would say to get that game and 10 hours prime95 blend stable at 4.9 ghz you would need like 1.4-1.43 voltage after vdrop during 100% load, which would equal like 1.45-1.5 vcore in bios. These ivys require alot of vcore to be stable, I know because I run 1.4v for 4.8ghz stable, which equals 1.376 or something like that during 100% load.

I would say if youre on water, 1.4v would be max I would run because I have heard the chips degrade alot and can even die. So 1.4vcore after you have taken consideration to vdrop is max. If you have mediocre air/h100 cooling, I would try to find a stable 4.5ghz OC and call it the day. Your i7 still has HT = stronger than i5 in games that use more than 4 threads. Sorry I new to OCing, dont take my word for granted :/.

ill try upping VCCSA, and i am reaching stable temps of ~80c @ 1.430/3.9ghz

i am @ 1.43V after Vdrop , and based on what ive read safe voltage for air is 1.45, absolute max on air would be 1.55. HT rapes gaming performance, i lost 10fps in tomb raider with HT on.

Well, if you cant get it stable at 4.9ghz with 1.43 voltage after vdrop at 100% load, then I guess you have hit the wall long time ago. Decrease your OC, try to get it stable at 4.5ghz first, and then increase the OC to 4.6, 4.7, etc. I have 1.376 or 1.38 (cant remember) after vdrop 100% load and I run mine at 4.8ghz. Read the guides here, run 10 hours custom prime95 blend, if the cpu can manage to do that I guess its game stable i.e it will not bsod or crash during gaming. Good lucky fellow ivy brother (ivy is better than haswell and a stock i5 ivy beats a OC i7 4930k).

VCCSA @ 1.0v and Core @ 1.446 is stable at 4.9ghz. a little hot though, 60c when gaming (avg cpu usage is 75%), 75c when benchmarking. Very happy with this 4.9ghz, but i want the magic 5ghz, so after LOTS of trial an error this is where i landed.

i upped Vccsa to 1.00125 and core to 1.556(did increments on 0.010v) and tried 5.0ghz. when gaming it hits 80c compared to 60c b4, benchmarking, sky rockets to 105c and clocks down. it crashes my pc randomly anywhere from 10 min to 2 hours while gaming, so unstable. and obviously i cant up the voltages anymore based on temps.

any other way to get 5ghz without this much core voltage, like upping some other voltages? if not looks like i need to get some water cooling.
