Will this laptop be able to play these games?

Hey, everyone.

I'm hoping to get a laptop today, but I'm just curious as to how well it'll run certain games. Below is a list of some of the games I'll be trying to run on this laptop, as well as the specs of the laptop. I'm planning on running these games at 1280 x 720 (720p)

Games:
- Titanfall
- Battlefield 3 and 4
- Need For Speed Rivals
- Borderlands 2
- GRID 2

Specs:
- Intel Core i5-540M 2.53GHz Dual-Core CPU w/HyperThreading & TurboBoost
- 4GB DDR3 RAM (I believe either 1066 or 1333MHz)
- ATI/AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 (not the GDDR3 version)

What settings do you think I'll be running these games at?

It will struggle even on the lowest settings in my option. The VRAM looks too low and you could do with a quad core.

For 720p, 1GB of VRAM should be enough. A 5850M would be.....what? As powerful as a 5770? If you're gonna play MP on BF, That processor would probably give you(and itself) headaches.

Yeah, the laptop looks like it'll struggle to play high end games.
If I were to say the specs, it is either not possible or lowest settings with less than playable fps.

You were going to get a laptop today, right?
What is your budget, screen size and other taks you'll be using it for beside gaming.

Really? I thought the Core i5-540M was still a very capable CPU, and my understanding of the Mobility Radeon HD 5850 is that it's basically just a 5870 with slightly lower clock speeds (can easily be overclocked to match the 5870's performance) I thought the 5850 was still a decent mobile GPU even in this day and age?

Did you consider getting a laptop with an AMD APU? I have an A8 in a Lenovo and it can run Skyrim on med settings with a few mods. It runs Civ 5 and CS:GO just fine also at 720P

I'm getting the laptop for just over $200 after taking into consideration the trades I've made for cash to get the laptop.

I guess the GPU is possible, but I am not sure.

A mobile GPU can never equal the strength of its namesake GPU. This is because GPUs are way to power-hungry and hot to be incorporated on mobile devices. The names are given so that people who see it at a glance will mistake it for the real GPU and buy it.Sorry for being harsh but that's how things are currently.
That CPU will need more cores to run games properly.
You may already know this but ''pro gaming'' laptops like the Asus G75 series struggle to run games beyond medium. They have beefed up HDDs and RAM but when it comes to gaming,PC is the best

That is because those games aren't high demanding.

Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 is a pretty high demanding games.
