OpenGL applications not working with CCC

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem.. I'm running a 6870, and after installing CCC some OpenGL games - namely Minecraft and Quake Live stopped working. Whenever I try to start either I get an error saying: "LoadLibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found." I have been able to fix this issue for Minecraft by following this tutorial on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6QPp3wM_QE

However.. QL still gets the exact same error, even after this fix. I'm sure it has something to do with the drivers, or more likely with the CCC package since when I had the Windows Update-installed drivers I didn't have this issue. I need CCC for LTC mining however. And yes I uninstalled the drivers with DDU before installing CCC. Also tried re-installing a fresh copy of Windows and installing CCC right away; same problem.

Here are my system specs:
Some Intel mobo from a Dell OptiPlex 755
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
4GB RAM
HD6870
Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Anybody got any clue on how to fix this? I'm really baffled since that YouTube tutorial fixed Minecraft, but not Quake, even though they have the same error.

OGL isnt related to CCC, sound like you have a bad driver install.

open CCC, and fo to the information section.

What version of OGL does it say is installed?

also, what driver cat version did you install?

The OGL version is 6.14.10.12618
CCC version is 2013.1206.1603.28764
What is a driver cat version? I just downloaded the Catalyst Control Suite from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64

Cat 13.12. I'll check the ogl version when I get home.

I would run the cim to remove everything, then reinstall.

What is cim? And I already re-installed Windows and installed CCC fresh before, so would this really help?

Cim=catalyst install manager.

Interesting FastMHZ, i had no idea.

im gonna have to peek into my registries and look now even though i dont run any OGL games.

I wonder if its leftover from a prior install rather than in the cat itself.

Oh wow, I forgot about that.. already did that too, FastMHz, to no avail. I don't see how uninstalling with CIM and reinstalling will do anything for me though..

Uninstall with ddu, and try the 14.4 beta leak. They are pretty stable and have a newer ogl.
