I agree, if they could get all the other companies on board we could put a stop to these ridiculous fees.

I see, so with this new rule why would you not just buy the cheapest sim deal they do and go over your limit every month if they won't charge you?

living in the country means no tmobile for me, else i would have switched to them last year.

They swappeed spectrum with Verizon. They're going to receive 700 MHz block in a lot of areas. Also, they are upgrading all of their 2G towers to support LTE as well and have already begun. The effort is finally there but most of these changes will be realized by the end of this year and next.

I switched to T-Mobile in Jan. and I love it. My LTE speeds are whooping all of my friends with Verizon. The Pittsburgh market is so congested my friends couldn't get past 4 mbps while I was getting 18 down, and they were on the LTE band.

I'm grandfathered in now since the plans changed last month but $70 all unlimited plus a 10% employee discount and 3GB of hotspot for $72 post-tax. Well worth it. I've never been throttled either. I'm sure that willl change though lol.

Here is a link to the new spectrum areas:

You could do that but after whatever amount of data you pay for they throttle your speed.

From what I understand, T-Mobile will throttle you to 2G speeds once you hit your overage.

Good thing is that they raised the GB allowance a little for those that had 2.5GB, as well as added slightly more options. 1, 3, 5, and unlimited.

I have not gone over 1.2GB so far, so I don't mind the slower speeds. Now with that said I wish they would throttle you to 3G instead of 2G frown.gif

I pay $389 USD / month for Verizon for three lines in my family...

It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Part of that is paying for 25GB / mo. data, but we're 3/4 of the way through the month and on track to use it all, so maybe it's not so insane...

Thanks - T

Do you get solid gold radio waves for that price?

I get unlimited talk/text/data on my line for ~$30 from T-moblie (I think limited to 3GB of tethering). I'm riding on my family's plan though, the total bill is something like $200 for 5 lines (data plans vary a bit though). With something like a 10-15% corporate discount.

Guess the downside is T-Mobile doesn't subsidize phones directly... apparently you're paying for it anyway...
