Hi,

I just purchased a bare hard drive. I have sata cables but I wanted know if I also needed to buy a bracket or an enclosure to fit the HDD into one of the bays in my case? Any info is appreciated. I purchased a Seagate ST1000DX001.

hello,

Usually your computer case will already have the bays for your case.....A lot of times you can buy them , and even sometimes . they come with a generic bay......

No, it appears to be a 3.5" Drive. That should fit in perfectly to any case.

Edit: Checked your case in your rig, it has 8x 3.5" Drive bays, so it will definitely fit in your case without the need of a bracket or anything.
