Well, still depends on you board and cooling, but you won't have to worry about the PSU thumb.gif

Thanks for the warning. I'll search on the Internet or I'll make another thread to be sure everything will work before ordering.
I'll see if I can get one but I don't think I will be able to because I'll also have to get a better power supply. Doesn't a r9 290 crossfire requires more power than a r9 280x crossfire? And anyways, the r9 280x will be able to run almost every game at high setting for a while I don't need more smile.gif

why would you need to crossfire the 290s? i don't think it is wise to crossfire the 290s with that cpu. 2cents.gif

the 290 is about 30% faster, so you'll prolly only need one for now.

edit: even with the 280X . . . the cpu needs to be oc'ed.

Yea... the 8320 does need a decent OC to put dual 280x's to use. There will be some games that will benefit from the second GPU, but you will either be getting 60FPS, or just under it with a slight CPU bottleneck.

Yeah I know, I was going to overclock my CPU. I'm even thinking of getting an i5 4670-k but that's not point hehe biggrin.gif . We are talking about GPU here.

I plan to work the next summer and buy stuff for my computer and upgrade my GPU. It wouldn't be profitable to buy a graphic card and sell it after only 1 year of using.

And I totally forgot about the risks of having my CPU bottleneck a r9 290 crossfire. So if I want to be able to a good crossfire setup, I'll have to get a better CPU and I would be definitively be over my budget.

So in that case what would recommend me? Do you think I should still get an r9 290?

You will need at least 4.7-4.8Ghz overclock to not bottleneck CF 290's at 1080p.

For 280x's You would need a 4.6Ghz overclock or so i'd say, and if you are going for higher res then the GPU's start to matter much more than the CPU.

and I'd still recommend a single R9 290, I've got some game benchmarks from CF 290's if you'd like a comparison.

Also, do you mind filling out the rigbuilder and dropping it in your sig? Makes it a little easier to know what i;m looking at sometimes smile.gif

listen to Sgt. and 8300 to i5 4670K is pretty much a sidegrade. i recommend an i7 for dual highend gpus. try one 290 for now.

Okay thanks. But for the r9 290, the only I could afford is the powercolor, and it doesn't looks to be a very good graphic card lol. And anyways I'd like to save up money so I can get better peripherals. And yeah, I'll try to putting my future rig in my sig when I'll have time. Here's what it looks like:

Are you sur an I7 is necessary? From what I've read, it's almost the same thing as the i5 but with hyper threading. Even on benchmark, they have the same performance. I'm only talking about gaming.

I would to get the r9 290, but I can't with out having to cheap on other components which I'd rather not do.

The Powercolor PCS+? It's a good card, 2.5 slots though due to the massive cooler on it.

we have narrowed it down a decent amount though, 280x = Gigabyte and 290 = PCS+

what i am trying to say is . . . there is really no need to replace your cpu. just oc it together with a single 290.

Even if I even I don't have to buy a better CPU and PSU, it's over what I can afford sad-smiley-002.gif

Not the PCS+, the turboduo. The only few reviews are terrible. And actually I can't even buy it lol. It cost 399.99 after mail in rebate and the site I'm ordering on doesn't equalize mail in rebate. sad-smiley-002.gif
