Ps. Thanks to microe for the nice tool. Much appreciated! specool.gif

Uhm, those look like a dead stop at the end, do you fling against a wall? Or lift? Because that wall would be painfull I guess biggrin.gif

Hehe! biggrin.gif Neither a wall at my desk nor did the mice lost contact with the mousepad. Just a wall of biceps/High body control! tongue.gifwink.gif

WUT? That's pretty much impossible, you stop in the span of less than 2 ms... I need to calculate the force for that, but I'm fairly sure it's more than 10g... Nice muscles I guess biggrin.gif

Btw regarding clean: I just whipped out some older mice to try MouseTester with them

Abyssus

Deathadder 3G

Kana V1

None of them are as much all over the place as the FK is... I wonder why the FK is that way?

How does that program even work? What do the dots represent? I only get nonsensical results. Like, does the program tell me it registered a count at 10+ m/s velocity? Let alone I swiped the mouse slowly for this capture process.

What mouse is that? Was it the real dpi step (you have 400 there)?

What the program does is recording counts in x and y together with timestamps. This allows for speed calculations. I sometimes get nonsensical results too where one count jumps out to 200 m/s or more, just do another swipe then. I always do one fast swipe on the x-axis, left to right.

It's a G400, and yes, 400cpi is correct. It is connected to a notebook, which always had trouble polling consistently, but the graph just doesn't make any sense, the 10m/s spike is just one of the things off about it. Will have to give that program a try when I'm back.

Krait (1000 Hz)

CM Spawn (fw .61 1000 Hz)

Savu (1000 Hz both)

I liked always the Spawn 3090 implementation, now i see why.. looks really good if you ask me.
A pity that i have sent the Avior 7000 back. :/

So basically the dots have to match the line as close as possible ... ?

What do I have to expect regarding performance if the dots are all over hte place?
Just a lower max PCS? Or does it say something about the sensors accuracy?

Oh and any word from Logitech regarding a G100(s) with the new sensor? That would be frickin awesome.

@Thunderbringer: Couldn't find the mousetester result for the Avior 7000. DId you test it?

Back at my home rig, problem seems to have been the ThinkPad, not that it'd otherwise be appropriate for gaming.

The G400 tests fine here. And my EC2 eVo CL doesn't show the weakness in the peaks that your FK does. At 2300cpi/1kHz that is, at 450cpi/1kHz the graph does start to look more like yours.

Someone correct me if i am wrong, the dots represent movement and the line shows the polling rate. Higher jumps/drops between the dots (in vertical axis, at close horizontal distance) indicate inability of reading the mousemovement.

The PCS is where the line crosses the dots, ideally everything is together one line (dots + the polling rate line). I guess this is the reason why stable Hz is important, otherwise movement partially will not be detected, which results in minimal stutter or a bad "feel". (?)

I have returned the Avior 7000 a few weeks ago, but discovered the mouse tester yesterday. So no, I have not tested the Avior.
