Edit: There is one other thing I forget to mention. I've seen numerous reports of IRST causing conflicts with emulation software that allows you to mount an ISO image to a virtual drive. Plus, IRST can cause intermittent SSD sleeps, increased mouse lag / latency whilst gaming and improper TRIM performance.

I have been experiencing occasional mouse lags sometimes but never could've imagined it was from IRST, this is like the one thing I always installed blindly since it is in the drivers list of every laptop I have bought, even though some of them have just 1 2.5 inch bay so they could never have a RAID setup
I never mount DVDs as my games are on Steam or Origin so they are downloaded automatically that's probably why I never experienced that issue.
