I will be using a 1200 watt corsair axi and i need a battery backup that can handle that power supply. Not sure if this is the right section. This is my build log. No idea which brands to trust besdiesi do ahve a 910 watt cyberpwoer 1500avr and not sure that is good enough. I will be using a 4930k overclocked w/e 2 r9 290x all overclocked and water cooled.

I've been using this Cyber Power UPS for nearly 4 years now and it still works great. It is powering my sig rig and monitor, router and modem, as well as using the extra non battery backed up power plugs for other things.

I get around 10-20 minutes of battery life depending on what I'm doing with my pc. I used to live in an area that power would be lost somewhat regularly and flicker often during storms and this thing was invaluable then. Now at my new place I've never lost power, but it's still really nice to have the assurance as well as a power strip functionality. I have also on more than one occasion knocked the plug out of the wall so it's nice to not have our pc shut off because of it.

Are you using the same model that I linked? If so you can easily cycle through the menus and see what kind of power you are drawing and an estimated run time. The whole point of these systems is to provide you with enough time to save what ever you are working on and shut down correctly. A personal computer backup really doesn't need to last longer then a few minutes, if your looking for something for longer duration you'd be better off with some kind of generator backup for you entire house.

A quick calculation says your system would peak at around 850 watts, which would be at like 95% possible utilization which you system will most likely never be at, I think your current UPS would be fine. You can always get a watt meter to check how much your pc is actually using, or if you have a UPS like mine you can check through the menus on the LCD screen.

Thanks for the reply are you sure mien will be ok with a 4930k two r9 290x and all the water cooling equipment including two monitors. I could always move one of the monitors to the AVR that i use for my surround receiver but, it has no battery. I am using the same one you linked.
