Hello there,

I recently Purchased an R290 PCS+ off of Newegg, and have run into some serious problems.

I will list the issues I am having, as well as give you a brief history on my system woes unrelated to the new videocard for reference.

System Specs:
AMD FX-8350 @ 4Ghz (Turbocore disabled) W/ Corsair H80i cooler configured push pull and it stays nice and cool.
ASUS Sabertooth FX990 R2.0
G.Skill Sniper Series 1866Mhz 8Gb module with factory specs manually set (have another module but its not installed currently)
Corsair RM 750 brand new and it seems just as stable as my older TX 750.

Current Systems settings:

All powersavings for CPU and GPU have been turned off. When I installed the new GPU they were on and I had larger amounts of black screens.
Catalyst 13.12 whql installed after using AMD display driver removal utility.
AMD overdrive disabled after testing and finding it caused more black screens than when it was off. (using the corsair utility for fan speed)

Various game crashes:

War Thunder: Black Screen full crash in the menu but is stable while flying, a debugger pops up after the crash stating a driver failure.

World of Tanks: Black screen crash to desktop. sound from game continues after crash. Happens after about 3 minutes of sitting in menu, but like War Thunder, it seems stable while playing a match.

Skyrim: Black Screen Crash after about 15 minutes of gameplay.

Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm: Game is stable most of the time, have had some errors which cause the game to black screen, after about 10 seconds the game resumes with huge FPS drop. Normal FPS I get is around 80-110 on full settings minus one of 2 things set on mid grade settings, after crash I get around 14-30 fps.

Counter Strike Global Offensive: Played it 5 times with this card, have yet to receive a crash even after a constant play of about an hour and 10 minutes

Company of Heroes 2: Played for about 30 minutes to see how visually beautiful the game was with my new ASUS PB278Q and R290, no crashes, but doesn't mean it wouldn't have.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare: played for about 20 minutes, no crashes but lots of stuttery.

I have to admit, I am feeling quite depressed about the state of things with my computer. After about a year and a half of dealing with a faulty MSI R7870 Twin FrozrIII that crashed all games except War Thunder and World of Tanks, I bought the R290 in hopes that I would finally be able to get back to gaming, (which i am very passionate about) just find that I have a $2,000 piece of crap rig that draws tons of power but can't play games as well as my old phenom 2 rig.

I noticed somewhere on the forum that there was a custom Bios out there from Powercolor and that some people simply had bad cards, but I am currently wondering if I am just completely incapable of building my own systems anymore. I was hoping that there may be someone on this forum that can help me through this system problem.

Any advice is welcome,
