Windows 7 Ultimate x64
2x X5550 Xeon Intel
Supermicro X8DTi-F
Sapphire R9 295X2
Corsair GT 240GB SSD
Seagate SSHD 750GB 2.5"
Hynix ECC Reg 192GB
EVGA 1000G1

X58 mobos don't like Hawaii GPUs.

Not sure how to fix it to be honest.

The only x58 with issues i tested Hawaii cards with is ones that had Nvidia NF200 PLX. I had 290x and used PT1 BIOS to get around it. It appears to be an issue with power states and PCIE switching. Since he is on a 295x2 and non NF200 board i wonder if its more of a BIOS issue and GPU compatibility.

I would perhaps try the latest bios for the mainboard. Try using ACPI 3.0 in bios as well maybe.

are the CPU's overclocked or stock?

95w each probably means stock, but that would be a good idea - updating BIOS.

I posted this in the HAF XB Case thread but figured you guys would like this:

Moved my PC over to my CoolerMaster HAF XB case. Not sure why I didn't use this case when I got the 295X2. I think I thought it wouldn't fit, nope, it fits smile.gif

I've already updated my bios to R2.1, the latest from their site. I tried changing around the jumper settings, but no dice.
Dumb question but you do have onboard gpu off?
I don't think lga1366 has igpu.
Pretty sure his board did, but i looked at a generalized mobo pdf from supermicro. so i guess not all have it?

(mainboard has onboard gpu?)
