Also color compression? As in something like Maxwell's compression? Or dithering...?

Yeah its why they went with a 256 bit bus on the 285, since the color compression meant it needed less bandwidth.
There is also a rumor floating around that a full uncut version of Tonga will be used in the 3XX lineup under a different name, Antigua?

Oh cool, thanks!

So it is like Maxwell's compression redface.gif

Well sure as poop turned out his MSI 290X Gaming was defective. My 270 and 290X both worked in his system. If anything I am pissed at myself I didn't just try a card swap from the get go instead of wasting hours trying to "fix" a crashing driver. doh.gif

Nice setup. I luv how simple things can be before I tear into them and make em more complicated tongue.gif

Curious, your aio's are set to intake from the front and rear. How are your temps? I was gonna buy a cheap xb I found locally but the matx Aeneas was still holding my attention. I had an xb with dual 690s on blocks. Had to install the heavy Monsta 480 with brackets on the rear. Looked funny though tongue.gif.

The one thing holding me back was the front rad support. Once you drop in the 295x2, there's only space for fans. You can tuck two fans in in the front fascia but it kinda goes against the 4x120 layout it has. I could have dropped in a 240 in the bottom and a thin one on top, while the rear fan openings would get 120s. After adding the cost (both new and use), it ended up being about the same if not more then what I paid for my three Monsta's. Luckily, the X9 showed up and it gave me the horizontal mb layout I wanted and still keep the 480s.

Actually I have the radiator fans set to blow the hot air out of the case. I just have 1 140mm fan blowing cold in in directly infront of the 295x2. Max temp I see on the 295x2 is 72C in Heaven Bench @ 3440x1440.

Most of the time I switch the window cover on the case with the regular cover that has a 200mm fan on it, I have the fan blowing air into the case. This drops temps about 8C across the board, the 72C temp I get in Heaven is with the window panel on.

My idle temperature heat build up is insane now since I no longer have a 140mm exhaust fan. (AIO replaced that) I am switching to the Phanteks Enthoo Primo case for better cooling options. If I buy any 3 pin 120mm fan, can I attach it to the 295x2's 3 pin connection or do I have to match power and RPM requirements of the stock fan?
