I just wanted to share this experience with other owners of this card. For a long time I have hated the silver on the card due the my case being the H440 designed by Razer. The card just did not fit in, so recently I have decided to take care of this with none other than plasti dip. Surprisingly the results, at least in my eyes, are amazing. I have finally got a beast of a card that matches by build.

Hi, i will receive my R9 295X2.

I have a question : Is it possible to manage the fan on the radiator ? For exemple with afterburner ?
You would need to connect it to your motherboard or fan controller. Use a mini fan to regular adapter. While you got the cover off you can change the TIM and thermal pads.

Nope.

So far I can tell, power delivery on this card is awesome. Its so much more stable and precise than on 295X2.
You can use Trixx and run +200mV no problem. That's something you cant do with 295X2 cuz of "blackscreen" issue.
Using asus Gpu tweak, u can do +150mV. Afterburner, only +100mV.
Im looking forward 1200+MHz on this card.

I still need to change thermal pads on the card and re-paste it with Grizzly Kryonaut cuz eom paste and pads are ****...

What magic thing happens at +1200MHz? If you keep gaining FPS or synthetic bench points then it makes sense but my money is on you having better performance at a mark below that high value.

While the Ares III should volt and clock higher than the 295x2, there is only so much to get out of these Hawaii cores.

I found my synthetic scores peaked at a 30MHz overclock. It ran just fine at higher clocks without artifacts but min FPS, max FPS, and overall FPS all dropped at the higher clocks.

Please prove me wrong though.

The 92mm fan on my 295X2 shroud has started to make some weird rattling noise during heavier loads, in idle or low it goes away.

Is this reason enough for RMA or?

Synthetic scores for my 295x2s only increased with mhz and volts. Weird.

you will have to ask the manufacture. I would get a video of it prior to asking however (it is not nessisarry, but proof makes it easier imo

Well what amazes me the most is that 3 memory modules are completelly without any kind of cooling. They dont have thermal pads and they have no contact with backplate. Its cuz of that Ares cutout. Still they could cool them partially...
Also paste was spread horribly. Didn't rly expect that from Asus and Ares Series....
