Got a friend of mine in the industry who might get them at a good discount (if I break even with the asle of my quadfire setup I might jump on two

Thanks for the great video and the benchmarks! It´s an impressive GPU and the competition between AMD and Nvidia is more interesting than ever. AMD´s closed loop liquid cooling system is innovative. The Radeon R9 295X2 is the fastest GPU up to date and it has a higher floating point performance than the Titan Z. I would be really curious to see some rendering demos Titan Z has a bit more shading units and TMUs than 295X2. Taking into account the specs and price tags of the two GPUs, I think R9 295X2 is gaming-oriented and Titan Z is video-oriented (i.e. intended for professionals who work on 3D modeling, effects and animations).
Titan Z is definitely too expensive for gamers, while AMD might be an option for some, like this owners club proves

(btw, I´m very jelly as well...) Here is a comparison of the two.
Overall, I think AMD is better taking into account the price - quality ratio. Looking forward to hear more about it!

My HIS 295x2 is now installed and running great. I guess some are you are wondering how I got a retail version this soon. Was sheer luck,
smile.gif
Newegg had the Powercolor and HIS version on the site saying "Coming Soon". Tuesday night around 9PM EST I looked and sure enough the HIS version was available. I immediately purchased it and did overnight shipping. Not sure how many Newegg had but they were sold out within 1 hour. Now in my system and running great.

In my opinion this is AMD's best designed reference card ever.

First impressions:
Very solid feel, All metal shroud. Does NOT Droop in my system
The 120MM radiator/Fan installed with no problems.
With full load - Very Quite
The red lighted fan will add a RED glow inside of your system. I have a RED theme so great in my system.
The word "RADEON" is also lighted RED.

Currently I am at 1085 on both cores and a very healthy 1700 on the memory (Hynix Memory). Only overclocking in CCC. Both firestrike and Heaven Valley are stable at 4K resolution.

After a 15 minute run in valley temps never exceeded 72C.

Very happy. Wonderful card. I explain in the first paragraph on the big post with pics. Was pure Luck.

Guess I'm the first retail owner, You were the first.

Been benching the card off and on for the last 3 hours. Seems to be settling in. Running 1100 core and 1700 memory now with no issues in valley at 4K. Very solid card and the 290x GPU cores love the cooler environment.

That kicks the crap outta my CF 290 at 1100/1400 with 4770k @ 4.7/4.4 ---- my best so far is 165xx

Not wanting to add any voltage right now. You can see why. Just dished out $1500 for this beast.

I have been amazed with the memory. This must be some top shelf Hynix memory, I have tested 4 different 290x cards including the Lightning and I have never hit 1700 stable on the memory.

Card running solid at 1100 Core and 1700 Memory. Just ran a fresh 3Dmark Firestrike. 18,314 for a single card is great.

450D. The Push-Pull should push enough air over the cards themselves. I'll be testing it over this weekend so I'll let you know. Worse comes to worse, we can install a fan on the side window or 3D Print a :Dbracket for the GPUS
