Asus Rampage IV Black Edition problem with boot_device_led staying on.

Hi everyone, my computer is acting weird, my motherboard is a rampage iv black as mention. The boot device led stays on after post but everything seem to be functioning like normal but the led just stays on, I tried clearing the cmos and updating bios but same problem? Anyone have any idea what may cause this?

try rearranging the sata connections is all I can think of off the top of my head

Thanks for the response I finally figured out what was causing the issue. It was my server intel dual lan adapter that caused it I don't have a idea why but after i took it off everything is back to normal.

Its almost always some wierd thing like that.
I had the sata order as an issue on 2 different platform and 2 different manufactures

there's probably some bios option that needs to be set

I been fiddling around with it all night last night and couldn't get that led to turn off. It happens only after i restart my pc. After the first shutdown it loads perfectly fine. No boot_device_led but after I restart it, it acts up. I installed new drivers and everything and thinking it might be a problem but still happens. I'm not sure where to go to set boot options on that intel lan card. Have any idea?

Not really. But I would suggest going over to RoG's forum and asking over in the rampage thread. They will usually have the answers for you by the next afternoon. if you post late or morning otherwise during the day itll just be a few hours probably.

Whenever I had issues with my rive Raja or arne were right there to guide me.
