[PSBLOG] PS4 hits 7 Million Globally - Page 3

post #21 of 60

I'd love to see the distribution of Titles played ala Steam, but Sony will never release that. I guess Bf4...and Madden sports? Is there anything else worth while on any of the consoles?

Of course Watch Dogs will spur some additional sales. So far I think consoles are relegated to meh status as there's so many options for consumers today compared to ten years ago.

I don't see 7 million sold as "relegated to meh status" and there are definitely console exclusives that I would consider worthwhile. That is up to individual preferences though, sure.

I don't know how it works, you're right. So, are you saying that the 2.8b number is accurate?

Yeah, Watch Dogs will spur additional sales in both consoles. I'm probably picking up a PS4 by then. I wonder if there are any other notable releases over the summer.

I've seen quite a few people buy a PS3 for the Uncharted series. So I guess the PS4 just needs a strong title to further boost sales.

XB1 = Ryse / Dead Rising 3 / Plants vs Zombies / Titanfall / Killer Instinct

PS4 = Dead Nation / Killzone / inFamous / Resogun

Lots of other multiplats... yes there is things worthwhile on the consoles...

They've only got one title that's worth it for me. MLB the Show 14!!! But I'm a HUUUUUGE sports fan!

Best baseball game ever!

But I actually share your sentiment and MLB the Show 13, is just fine for now. I'm still waiting for more to show up before I pull the trigger as well.

I guess I will be late to the party. After owning a PS3 Fat for quite a long time and not using it I am gonna wait for a 2nd or 3rd revision PS4. By then there should be a good catalog of exclusives.

Almost every title you listed will be completely forgotten in a few years. Both Killzone and inFamous fell into the transgenerational trap of expecting what was good last generation to be good this generation. Titanfall may have legs but it's still going to be seen as "one of those launch games".
Software on the consoles is pretty dead right now, the good stuff will start to come out in 2015.

Im a huge fan of MLB The Show series. Its the only reason I want a PS4. I also want an Xbox One just to play Forza 5. Ill end up getting them both but I have to wait until the price goes down.

Have thought about giving Dead Nation a go. Is it any good?

Its also a great feat for AMD, just read that AMD are making a bigger profit than Sony on every PS4.
