I agree - the ASUS would be an excellent choice and I'm sure it would do better than my TA970. Just was saying even if you go cheap you usually can OC an FX-6300 to 4.5 without too much effort.

It will be the Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0, I already use one in my FX8350 rig and it runs easily 4.5GHz @ 1.42 Vcore with a Corsair H55 cooler and temps are max 52C after stressing 20 min. with AIDA64 Extreme

I also decided to get an other case as the 300R has amybe not enough airflow while overclocking my FX6300 to it's limits.
It will be the CM690iii or Obsidian450D with 2 Thermalright TY-147 PMW fans as fornt intake and a PMW120 MM as exhaust.
