How is this CPU/MOBO/RAM upgrade? Think I got it down, but can I get some input?

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Micro Center)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Micro Center)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $379.97, after taxes: 386.15
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

This is for gaming. I have a 6870 for a video card which I think does not to be upgraded just yet. I have an E8400 CPU and 4 GB of ram currently. My CPU is definitely the bottleneck right now.

What do you guys think? I can get the 4770k there for 80 more dollars, but I don't know if it's worth it. Could be more future-proof? Or should I stick with this?

That looks good to me. I have a 3570k, which is only a few percent slower than the 4670k and I bottleneck in NOTHING.

The 4670k will offer a huge increase in performnace from your current core2duo. Although not necessary, the 4770k might offer slight future proofing in future games due to hypertheading, for instance upcoming game like Watch Dogs, might benefit from extra threads. Its entirely up to you if want to add extra 80$ towards the i7.

Memory is good, 8GB is sufficient, and motherboard will do the job, you might also want to invest in a better cooler, so you can potentially overclock the cpu to boost the performance even further.
