Agreed.

The poll will produce inaccurate results because it's ambiguous and conflates two questions. Possible answers should have been:
  1. I want the ability to configure a button to lower the DPI when held down, and I want a button under my thumb.
  2. I want the ability to configure a button to lower the DPI when held down, but I don't want a button under my thumb.
  3. I don't need the ability to configure a button to lower the DPI when held down, but I want a button under my thumb.
  4. I don't need the ability to configure a button to lower the DPI when held down, and I don't want a button under my thumb.
  5. It depends...

Just saying.

Sometimes your hands aren't on the keyboard or aren't in a convenient place on it.

In Windows, I use my Naga Hex as control (for easy use with mousewheel to zoom in and out), play/pause, copy, paste, F5, and Num Enter (which I have set to do some different things depending on program), and in GW2, I have it set to F5-F9 and Num Enter for easier use of utility skills without having to move my hand away from my main keys.

By now, it would take me quite a while to get used to operating without the increase in speed it offers me.

I had 59 keybinds or so in WoW with two side buttons, Its my understanding that GW2 (from what i tried on release) requires less than 20 keybinds in all.

when you use a scope in most shooters, they change the sensitivity for you. If you don't like what sensitivity they set when you use a scope or ads, i guess it makes sense to change dpi to create a sensitivity your prefer. However, if i was going to play a shooter that switched sensitivities to one i didn't like when i scoped or aimed down the sight, i would probably want to make a macro on the rmb, to change dpi when i have it held down, instead of having an individual sniper button. Realistically, i would probably just not play a shooter that wouldn't let me undo any automatic sensitivity switching that bugged me.

The sniper button would be great if it auto killed you for being a camping POS sniper.

Sure, I could use stuff like that on the keyboard, but why waste my time moving my hands to use skills when I could be moving around in game more effectively?
