well, you're probably using a mouse with a superior tracking considering many people use the 9800 sensor. Using good headphones lets you hear footsteps better. There are people using 5ms + monitors and others using crt monitors... An advantage through better gear is unavoidable.

Even in professional sports, skill isn't the only decider. Seems like people expect standards are applied to shooters that aren't even applied to real professional sports. Like for a game to be taken seriously, everything has to be mirrored. All chance and randomness needs to be removed. Or everyone has to be on an exact level playing field.

There have been some situations where i've wanted better control of my mouse speed, but the majority of the time, i'd say a mouse speed button would get in the way. believe it or not, i actually find that the game that makes me wish i had a sniper button the most is actually CS:GO. It's always hard for me to aim exactly where i want to since most of the guns in that game are hip fire. which is why i feel like it might be useful to make small adjustments at times when you are trying to hit a far away target with an M4 or something.

That wouldn't work well for me either. Changing my mouse speed deliberately is way way too much to think about when I should be worrying about aiming itself.

That's not the same as replacing your actual input with the one of a machine.

Just lower your overall sens to be able to engage at any range? If you can't shoot someone in the distance your sens is too high.

I like it! I use mine for PowerDVD, one click. biggrin.gif lol
post #66 of 78
i sometimes use it , for exemple when i m dog fighting in a plane in bf i need max sensi but when i want to fire on a ground unit i like to reduce it to increase accuracy . but anyway buttons should be always configurable and not one button should be locked as sniper one.

Easier solution is just to move from that hill and use a 6x

No.

I prefer my mice to have as few buttons as possible. The only preferred buttons for me are:
  • Mouse 1 and 2 of course
  • Scrollwheel UP/Down and clickable (extra features are unnecessary)
  • Mouse 4 and 5 (mainly to make going back and forth in browsers handy and maybe to bind 1 or 2 very crucial ingame actions to them)

Other then that I hate extra buttons, just more garbage I can accidentally press. Just give me proper tracking k thx.

i wonder how much of the g502's weight is the insane number of switches and buttons. When i get another g502, i'm tempted to take out the scroll wheel and the weight door, i think that would be more then 20g reduced from the total weight, would make it a sub 100g mouse...

Useless. It's just a button. Don't need the DPI change / toggle feature, most games support sniper modes anyway (zoom_sensitivity_ratio).
