Hell no. And the 21 who voted yes should be ashamed.

Ha! My co-worker has the sniper button as a requirement when looking for mice. It's the only real negative I can place against my G502. That button needs to burn in hell.

I found better placed DPI switch buttons make them almost superfluous.

I voted "NO" but I think a well placed sniper button is a good thing, you can use it for all kinds of things instead of lowering DPI, as an extra button.

The problem is that the button probably will be in the wrong spot for most people. Either too far away or too close or under the finger of those who don't like that.

You mean your previous co-worker who for unexplained reasons died after running into a baseball bat several times? biggrin.gif

I don't mind the "Sniper" button on the G502 considering I have it mapped to do something else anyway (mic in CS). I find it's in a more convenient location (for me) than the third thumb button on the G500. If the button cannot be mapped to something else then yes, it's a worthless button.

Same reason why certain variations of net graph are not allowed to be ON in leagues. You could tell when there was a group of player sneaking up behind a wall due to a sudden surge in network activity (very usefull for instance on Inferno). Or back when PC's werent as strong in CSS, fps would slightly dip.
