Looking to upgrade.

Hello all, I'm looking to upgrade my PC at the end of the year / begining of next and I was just wondering about the CPU.
I know, generally speaking, CPU power hasn't really gone anywhere in the past few years but I'm getting around to getting everything upto date.

So far I'm running:
Intel i7 950 @ 3.07 GHZ "Bloomfield"
Asus Rampage 3 Extreme ( Skt LGA 1366, 24GB max)
12GB DDR @ 1600 Mhz

So, I'm aiming towards multi-monitor gaming rig. Overclocking in the future after Watercooling so it'll be nice to have some headroom. Guessing that I'll need another Motherboard too.

Any thoughts?

Thank you very much for the info Pontiac, seems alittle far off to wait though. Seeing as I can't really upgrade and wait for the CPU.

A little bump!

Although Skylake is comming out, I think the smaller Manufacturing process will leave it as harder to OC in the long run, however If I got a Haswell / Ivy there wouldn't be much in the way of an upgrade for me to skip Skylake, would there?
