G400S : Driver or no driver?

Thread Starter
Hey guys.
I was wondering if LGS would mess up the tracking on the G400S the same way it did the G400. Is it still performing better driverless? I'd like to try 1600dpi with it even if its not native.

If you don't need the driver don't use it... simple as that.

Then why ask?

I don't even know why you need 1600dpi anyway, unless you have 3 monitors or something.

Without the driver, the polling rate and resolution of the mouse will emulate a standard Microsoft mouse driver. I'd advise loading the Logitech G software for it.

never experienced problems with the drivers, when i still used my G400(+you could bind the buttons).

Then it's easy... just double the in-game sensitivity value and voilà, same sensitivity with native DPI, so no need for a driver.

The default driver-less isn't 800 DPI / 1000 Hz? anyway.. older versions of the drivers are know to cause input lag, it was fixed with the newer versions some time ago.. i always run my mice driver-less but in case of Logitech, there isn't an issue with running it with drivers..

Never use drivers, all they do is introduce latency. Some do worse and introduce unwanted acceleration etc.

Set your DPI and other settings then uninstall it.
