the1freeMan states the most important here. you simply can not get a g400s to feel like a mx518.
and if i were you, i would just get used to using 800 dpi. (as mentioned a couple of times: just adjust your in-game sensitivity. i would advise against changing the windows multiplier - especially to any notch above 6/11.)

my advice would be to stay away from drivers unless you are absolutely sure you need them to make your hardware work (properly).
