I5 BUNDLE.....

It seems that i might get a new bundle to put in my slim line pc.rolleyes.gif Im looking at this http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Computer-MicroATX-Motherboard-H81M-P33/dp/B00F42Y924/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1397950353&sr=1-1&keywords=MSI+h81 and this http://www.amazon.com/Intel-BX80646I54440-I5-4440-Processor/dp/B00EUUIWZ6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1397951855&sr=1-1&keywords=i5+4440. My question is will this http://kdmpower.com/tfx.html THE 400W MODEL, supply and be sufficient enough for the setup? Also how can i tell the quality? Its been supplying my overclocked E7400 for a while now. 24/7 The guys at Fry's electronics said it would and i cant get a bigger PSU inside the low profile case. Just want to confirm if anything and find out if this MB is good to go and such. Thanks

The i5 I think will consume about the same power realistically, but will be leaps and bounds faster!

Your core 2 fuo uses about 120w under load

Meanwhile this quad core with better IGP has a similar power consumption

Thanks for the fantastic info!!! My E7400 sits overclocked at 3.5 so it seems ive definitely been pulling from the power supply. cheap or not its stable during stress testing. Also im using a low profile graphics card that uses at most 65w and pulls from the board it self, no PCI-E plug. One HDD and optical and i think i should be ok with this build. i am a lil concerned now (i wont be oerclocking the new core) because ive been advised that my power supply just isnt up to the task of this pc. dunno we will see what happens. There is no NAME BRAND 400w low profile power supply out there!!! Im hearing a minimum is 450 for these cores!!!

This is another PSU i found for a slim case. Im almost sure that its the same as this PSU http://kdmpower.com/tfx.html but thats just judging the pictures there being the same lol
If you clck through some of the pictures on the Athena web site you can see some of the pictures match up and the KDM is the one im using now. The video card is a Sapphire HD7750 low profile.

Cougar spike, cheap but versatile for a matx build.
