Yes im my case, i feel watercooling did nothing but make it bearable to listen to as the extra OC was just because i was able to pump an extra 100mv into it with a different BIOS.

That said, had i tried to pump that extra voltage with the stock cooler, i don't think it would have ever been below 80% fan speed haha.

Yeah 80 percent is quite loud lol. I always run my cards at 100 percent, but with the 290 it wasnt working for me. I had to turn my sound up to 50 just to hear it over it. Every one was getting mad at me lol. Cant wait to see what the water cooler does, with the 290x I am getting soon. I never had a water cooled graphics card before.
