Some BSODs for me, again

Hi, first of all, sorry for my english, i'm french and english is not my mothertongue.

Here's my problem, some months ago, I had some problems with my computer, I had some BSOD, very often ( 4 in a week, less or more ). It turned ou it was maybe my Psu, not delivering enough power. So I changed it for a Corsair RM850. ( before I had the new psu , I underclocked my computer in June so it take less power, and I had no BSODs at all ).

When I received my new 150€ psu in january ( my wallet is still crying ), I put my cpu at 4Ghz ( his normal frenquency ). A lot less bsod than before, but still some. Today, I had 2 bsod in an hour, and I know i'm going to have another one. So i'm asking you, what do you think ? I already changed the psu so it's not coming from that.

I may have a suggestion: Motherboard VRM + Overheat = BSOD. This thing is very hot. I already touched it with my finger to tell how hot it was. Outch. What do you think about it ?

My rig ( just the essential ):

CPU: FX 8350 ( cooling: Corsair H60 )
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
PSU: Corsair RM850
Video card: GTX 660 ( need an upgrade here tongue.gif )
Main HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2To

Thanks for reading and futur help, and sorry for my poor english.

My VRM must be around 70-90°c

How hot is your RM? and is it one of the early models with the overheating problem? or one of the new ones that have the problem fixed?

I had two RM850, the first one died in two days ( burned ). Amazon sent me a new one and this one works well, she's not overheating, so I guess it's one of the early model that have the problem fixed.

Corsair RMA does cover those early models, you just need to check the S/N to see if your RM is one of the early ones

Why not just get a better PSU altogether, RM is lackluster for the price its nothing special and its been overhyped waaaaaaay to much

You need to look at the PSU itself to find the S/N. And while your PSU might not be bad its not great either, As i said worst i would call it is average and lackluster but its not crap other then if its one of the ealy model that are broken
