GTX 780 Ti reference cooler VS ACX for SLI

Thread Starter
For a GTX 780 Ti SLI build would the ACX coolers be ok? Or would the top GPU have to restricted of an airflow? Also, the case I'm using is a little smaller than a mid tower, a micro ATX Corsair 350D case.

I have an H100i at the top so would the ACX coolers be an issue for cooling the CPU? The fans pull air through the front of the case and out the top where the H100i is in a push with the SP fans.

I would personally go for the reference cooler unless your case has fans directly over the graphics cards. I just think you will have higher internal case temps, nothing that would prevent it from working, but you will be sending all that hot air over your H100i. Not to mention your top card will probably be throttled by high temps.

Yes. I would go with reference. Otherwise the top will throttle. I had 2 Windforce 780's in an air 540 and the top card hit 80C+ (throttled down the boost clock). And had 3 120mm corsair fans pushing air through the front intake.

I am using a test bench so in my case (or more correctly, without a case) the ACX cooler has really impressed me, not only are they near silent but they cool quite well. There are other advantages to going with the reference model for sure (overclocking, overvolting) but I just thought I would mention ACX are very nice! thumb.gif

The ACX cooler will out perform a reference cooler, it is very nice, just keep just keep in mind the OP's case size.I think he said he is using a corsair 350D which is trending towards the small side.

Yea, I will have no spacing for the top card at all, there are only two slots on a micro-atx board. biggrin.gif Thanks for all the input so far. If anything I intend only for mild overclocking nothing extreme.
