Hi Guys, I suddenly got interested in sleeving my PSU. And i ran into a problem when sleeving it.I noticed in my PCIE connectors that some(MOST) of the cables are double crimped! and also there is another PCIE connector(6+2) branching out of the 1st 6+2 connector.doh.gif
So im asking for your help for those who are experts in this!Really need this Sleeved up!

hi and welcome to OCN thumb.gif

those are the typical pigtail gpu cables. and they can be sleeved as is, just not very cleanly.

what i do, and recommend is to make a whole new gpu cable. You will need a crimping tool, terminals, wire, etc to do this.

this will reduce the amount of pci-e connections you can have too, but its sacrificed for a cleaner look.

if you cant to keep the 2 gpu cables on one psu port you can recreate the cable with the double wires near the bottom.

check out this video on how to sleeve double wires

there is also a bunch of guides over at the Sleeving FAQ

good luck thumb.gif

thanks for the advice!!!
but my plan is that i will only use one of the 6+2 pin and hide the other one, that "other one" will be hooked up to a sleeved extension and it will be the one seen

I would follow the double wire method in the video as its the most commonly used method.
