Looking into this I5... http://www.microcenter.com/product/413255/Intel_Core_i5-4570_32GHz_Boxed_Processor

Hows this thing go for gaming? Im a bit of a gamer and im trying to get an idea if it would be a waste of a chip. I like MMO's but play everything. Also looking to see how it would overclock. Not too extreme ill worry about that later down the line.

it's a good chip but you can't overclock it
edit : for overclocking you need K series cpu with Z87 motherboard

Pretty good for gaming, but like shadow said, no overclocking whatsoever. Its completely locked. You would need a K series processor to overclock.

For gaming, now, is good. But later down when games get multi threaded, this proc would struggle. But its still some ways before that happens. Also, this is a locked processor, that you would not be able to OC. You'd need a model with a K suffix to oc it. Something like 4670k which would be a better investment. What are your other system specs

Excellent for gaming but your GPU matters more than the CPU.

Im just looking right now into a very small build. So there is absolutely no overclock, not even an FSB jump? Right now my graphics is an HD 7750 low profile. ill be looking into a case and a 450w psu. Like i said very small build with proabably an mATX.

Good reason for that. Athenapower doesnt make even half decent PSU's. Get yourself a 450W rosewill capstone m, usually like $40-50, semi-modular so better cable management.
