Graphics Scores went way down after going from Haswell to SB-E?

Ive put both my old system (4770k/M6F) up against my new system (3930k/Sabertooth) set the CPU speed to the same clock speed (Highest i could ever get the 4770k to bench was 4.7GHZ) and i set the GPU overclocks the same. My Graphics scores on the X79 setup have been considerably lower on all benchmarks even with the same clocks and settings.

Before you ask, I have used the same drivers, same OS version both clean installs, and same overclocking settings and still got lower scores. The compare shows the highest score ive got with my x79 system using the 4770k's highest clock speed of 4.7ghz and running 8.1 and the new beta drivers.

As you can imagine the 3930k slam dunks the 4770k on the physx test, yet im still considerably slower in the graphics scores. What gives?

I get similar result to you.
4770k single core performance is higher. This is what usually counts when feeding GPU's data in this situation. That's probably why you saw a decrease on the GPU side. It's only when programs take full use of all 6 cores do you see the benefit of a 3930k. The "GPU tests" do not take full advantage of cores, therefore the single core performance is critical for such tests.

Well that sucks, i switched to the X79 setup when my Maximus VI Extreme died mainly for benchmarking and stuff and its actually slower at benchmarking... GG

When it comes to newer games which take better advantage of the CPU, 6 cores will really show it's strength against mainstream quad cores.

Even in games that leverage more than 4 cores, I doubt you'll ever see more than a 10% performance advantage on the 3930K vs 4770K, all things being equal (clocks etc).

Keep in mind, that while games will continue to get "more parallel" in terms of using more cores. There will also be advancements to software (compiler refinements effecting new software) to better leverage the execution resources of haswell.

The 4770K has 16 ALUs, the 3930K has 18 ALUs. 4770K has 32 execution ports, 3930K has 36 execution ports. They are different architectures, In terms of execution resources, the 3930K only has like ~13% more than the 4770K. The primary advantage of 3930K is on the front end (fetch/decode: 50% more than 4770K).

In most real-world workloads, including real-time (gaming), the 4770K is often the better chip to have.

My 4770k was a pile of garbage, would only get to around 4.2ghz on a "safe" voltage, and then my board died so i bought this stuff so i could benchmark, seeing how my physx score destroys the 4770k i would have figured i would have at least came close or beat my previous scores.

While the 3930K is awesome, I'm not sure I would have gone from a Haswell chip to a Sandy Bridge. At least 4930K! Also try using the same driver and driver settings you had when you had your 4770K before comparing.
