Curious, is there a working custom bios? Saw the one that was posted a few pages back, and I guess the card bricked trying to flash it? Anybody else use it successfully?

I dont think there is sadly

my plan was ncase but make sure you get the v2 psu from silverstone

I'll be using the Seasonic S12G 750 Gold 140mm non-modular which allows longer GPU's to be used with the ncase. Figure i'll be safer with the 5960x and Titan Z in it when everything is overclocked.

The case doesn't ship until the 23rd, hopefully it doesn't take too long! Until then, I'm going to setup everything up as a test bench this week.

What's the max in-game overclock you can achieve on your Titan Z? Curious smile.gif

might be cutting it close with a 5960x

anyway

I get 110-1176mhz somtimes 1200

also 249+ on mem

haven't really tried anymore on mem but thats my overclocks gaming etc

bare in mind im watercooled and stay below 45c

I think I could get much more out of the card but because the card is running cool the GPU uses less voltage which effects overclocks

I want it to constantly be on 1.212v etc mad.gif

Yeah, disappointing there isn't a custom bios to peg it at that voltage.

Good clocks, seems to be consistent with what I've seen searching around. Have you tried forcing k-boost in regards to fluctuating clocks/voltage?

Doable on SLI, just kind of a hassle. Curious as to how the Z responds to it....

Should be good to go on the psu, considering guru3d pulled 597w on an overclocked system that consumes more power than mine, with other review sites pulling as low as 530w under stress.

My 5960x only needs 1.241 for 4.5ghz biggrin.gif

Waiting on my PSU to arrive this week, i'll post some clocks/benchmarks once it arrives.thumbsupsmiley.png

thats what I thought until my seasonic 660w platinium kept crapping out everytime I tried playing a game

bought a 750w evga psu and it fixed it.. no sure what was going on

ill try Kboost but how do you do it in SLI?

For k-boost on sli: Disable SLI, enable k-boost, restart system, enable sli and you'll be good to go......you can try without a restart as well.

I would imagine it would peg the max voltages/clocks since that's what it's supposed to do. Let me know how it goes! smile.gif

I have just finished an Ncase M1 build, with Titan Z as well!

Ncase M1 v4
ASRock X99E-ITX/ac
Core i7 5820K
[placeholder] bundled ASRock fan
EVGA GTX Titan Z SC
Samsung SM951 256GB NVME
[placeholder] Silverstone SX500-LG
[placeholder] Crucial DDR4 2133MHz 8GB
Silverstone PP05-E
Silverstone CP11

Needs some work but shall be a beast when completely finished. I would suggest though, that your PSU will not fit... (apologies for the terrible photo quality, was a last minute thing)

Also, you will probably need the Silverstone PP05-E cable kit and Silverstone CP11 SATA cables as it is all a very tight build.

Any way, cannot wait for the 700W SFX-L to be released. Will do some serious overclocking when that and my cooler arrive (Corsair H100i).

Nice build!

My PSU does fit. All 140mm non-modular psu's fit perfect in the Ncase M1 with full size graphic cards. Many people use the S12G with full sized cards in the Ncase. PP05 cables aren't necessary on builds I've seen, but do a good job cleaning it up a bit!

Just a heads up, but I HIGHLY suggest not running it on your 500w. I pull 600w-660w during gaming. Your PSU will definitely not cut it. The PSU will more than likely shutdown once you start up a game. It's not advised, and I would definitely spring for the 600w sfx as a bare minimum (that's still pushing it) in the meantime until you can get your hands on the 700w version thumb.gif.

Edit:

I would also suggest getting 120mm 15mm fans to go under the gpu as it will get hot, there's just enough space to fit the slim fans under the Z. Your PSU should be your first priority though.

Yes- the rig was transferred from a Silverstone ML07B so still have the SFX-L from that, I wanted to be sure the 700w version would fit otherwise I would just go straight to the 600W SFX if it didn't. I was hoping that the 700W would be out soon so that it wouldn't be long running on the 500W but looks like delayed to end of year. Until then, I won't be doing anything serious on this, so the 500W is fine.

I should think that the Titan should be able to draw in enough fresh air by itself being positioned so close to the bottom. Have you a link to previous Titan Z / Ncase builds?

Also, anyone have an idea why this system would take 28 seconds to boot? Upgraded from an ASUS VII Impact with 4790K where I had 6 second boot times.
Your PSU only has 40 amps. the GPU alone requires 31 amps realistically (36 from the spec sheet), and 15 amps for your CPU (Intel recommends 25), and that's not even including the rest of your system. Good luck on your PSU, you're going to need it.

You're forgetting about the radiant heat a Z produces, this is a dual gpu card remember, and in such a small enclosure, it's only common sense. Your temps will easily drop 10 degrees with fans. Unless you like running your GPU fan at 100%. If you plan to ever overclock the GPU, then it's a no-brainer.

You can find lots of results with GPU fans on/off @ http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1717132 thumb.gif

Edit: I'm not sure regarding the boot up time, but boot up time is fine for me. Maybe look in the bios, I believe there is a fast boot option!
