[TPU] Aqua Computer Announces Radeon R9 295X2 Full Cover Block - Page 4

Wow that looks really enticing and far more than anything I've seen promoted so far.  Now if one were to spend $3K on madness, 2 of these cards under water. The CF scaling potential. Only bad side would be waiting 4 months for drivers, if history serves here.

500w TDP per card. you want a 1.2kw PSU minimal to be able to feed the beast and good luck getting one to fit in a shuttle and still have enough rad space for them internally.

none the less i'd like to see it happen just because its technically possible

Or put the shuttle mobo in a custom build smile.gif. I wouldn't mind fitting one with a couple these in my custom ITX Phantom project. Should be able to cool them as good as stock at least with the 30 FPI Black Ice GT 280 and the CPU in the loop as well.

Two of these and a cpu on a 280mm?, not seeing that happen, but your welcome to try tongue.gif

it will work at the expense of some higher temps

remember the stock card only came with a single thin rad and works fine with it. i think you could just get away with it

Hmm, will be close. The stock card comes with a single thin 120mm rad cooling the gpu's (the VRM's memory and PLX chip is cooled by the fan)

In theory you are adding the heat from the VRM's, Memory chips, the PLX chips on both cards and a CPU to the difference between a thin 240mm and a good 280mm rad.

The things I would do with 2 of these, the X79 DTX board and an SG08..... devil.gif

Sounds cooler than it really is. Trust me. Save your money for something else imo. Next gen will be out before you know it.

Do it!!!!!!!

I've yet to see anyone crazy enough to actually gut a shuttle for its x79 board and get 2 of these beasts and shove them into a smaller ITX rig.

then again the SG08 wont be able to handle the power side of things, the smallest case that i could think of that would and might have the space for the radiators would be the evga hadron hydro. U1 PSUs can come in 1kw+ sizes though im not sure if the card would fit length wise though cutting some tabs would give you extra head room.

If only i can get some sort of sponsor for the build i'd actually do it even if i dont get to keep it afterwards, it would be amazing just to bench the heck out of it
