True. The only reason I did not say before is because a change-log I read last year said these issues were fixed. but anything could have changed since then. wink.gif
I also know for a fact that Memtest x86 is good at throwing false positives around. I never recommend it. I always go by Prime95 Blend with full RAM usage, for both CPU and RAM.

I can run Prime95 25.11 Blend with nearly full memory utilization all day long without an issue. Hmmm headscratch.gif

I believe you are using the wrong version of Prime95. As I recall for Ivy Bridge processors Prime95 27.7 or 27.9 is required because they utilize AVX instructions and 25.11 does not. 25.11 is still good to use for older CPUs which do not use AVX instructions, but it doesn't stress the newer CPUs as much as the newer versions of Prime95.

One more thing, make sure you grab the 64 bit version if you use a x64 OS! smile.gif

The second 30-round IBT run completed successfully!

I forgot to mention but before I ran the first 30-rounder last night I restored my PC from an image I created right after I got Windows installed and all the drivers loaded. I also did some Windows Updates but likely not all that were available.

Since the same 30-round run failed rather quickly before the restoration, I think my problem was not hardware but any one or a combination of the following:

1. OS corruption
2. Corsair Link
3. A disagreeable Windows Update

So now I have three sets of memory which are likely all just fine.... Do I just pick the one that's the prettiest? redface.gif

From your findings, try to confirm whats causing the exact software issues you had. Just to confirm!

How would I go about doing that? You see...I inadvertently deleted the memory dumps from my BSOD marathon redface.gif

Reinstall windows, test IBT. If pass, Install Chipset drivers and retest IBT. If you pass again, Install Updates and retest, keep following that process till the system fails. The last installed software will be the culprit.
