The Core Innovation thing is unrelated to this mobile Beema/Mullins announcement that is about to happen.

nice! even more reason to be excited

Not trying to be a buzzkill or anything, but I don't think the contents of the Core Innovation conference will be what anyone here is expecting (i.e. more info on Steamroller, info on Excavator, some super-secret AM3+ chip being announced, etc.) At best they will talk about foundry partners and HSA and why those things are so amazing and if they do mention any pre-existing/future uarchs, it will be in the most vaguest terms possible.

That happens to be hydrogen. The qualifier helium gets is "second".

Helium is the smallest gaseous molecule, however. Hydrogen is a smaller atom, yes, but it's always bonded to something else (sometimes another hydrogen). Which means that if you want to prevent gases from moving through something, helium is what you use to test, not hydrogen.

Two colorful powerpoint slides with absolutely nothing of substance in them.

Of course we can always hope for that 500mm^2 next gen enthusiast oriented pure CPU made on the 14nm process. Expecting the former in this case will probably lead to less disappointment though tongue.gif

At best? If they talk about foundries they may talk of 14nm Samsung/GlobalFoundries in GPUs or CPUs. This will be a megaton bomb in the technology world, bigger than anything a new model would do.
