So, Should I start at vcore stock that is 1,325, then lowering to find stability?

Yes.
Run prime95 small FFTs for at least 10 minutes to see if any workers fail and your core and socket temps in HWinfo64/32.
Might as well test whether your psu can handle the load as well by running prime95 small FFTs along side MSI Kombustor for your GTX 760.

Ok
I started at 4.00Ghz - Vcore 1.275V 2 points less than stock

I'll come back with news

I started the Prime95 tests

1º- 3,5ghZ - Vcore stock 1,337 V .... 2 minutes of FFT test and temp of socket reached 72ºC and core 56,3ºC ... Mhz of all cores drastically dropped from 3500Mhz to 1400Mhz.
I figure out, that isn't a good signal
Am I right?

BTW Idle temps 48,5 socket 28,5 core

Edit:

2º- 3,5ghZ - Vcore 1,212 V .... Core drastically dropped down at about 6 minutes... Temps didn't get as hot as 1st test and they were increased more slowly

Yeah, youre throttling. The throttling algorithm on the board is controlled by the socket temps, which in your case looks to be 72C. You need to get socket temps down by getting that fan on the back.

Thats a high idle temp. What is the room temp and the motherboard temp ?

Mobo temp is 38ºC
Room temp Idk right now but about 20-25 ºC

Oh wait...Mobo temp on HWInfo = always 38ºC ....
Nvm now shows 37ºC

Attempt to 3,5Ghz - 1,188 Vcore

Idle temps

-Core = 22,5ºC
-Socket = 41ºC
-Mobo = 37ºC

Prime95 Test temps

-Core = 45,3ºC
-Socket = 66ºC
-Mobo = 38ºC

While running the test and taking a look at HWinfo temperatures, its showing a great stability but again at 66,5ºC Socket reach temp, Cores speed dropped down, in terms of multipliers are running at x17,5 to x7

I have a question, Why when I get a lower Vcore, temperatures seems to be more stable between them?
Should a lower Vcore be more stable at 3,5Ghz and not risky ?
Sorry for bothering you with stupid questions but understand that its my first attempt OCing and managing this features...never done this before tongue.gif

I will do more tests tomorrow, thanks for the info, I'm glad to read'em and get a quick response!

Yeah, you also need more cool air into the case, besides the backside fan.
I have pretty decent cooling in a large double full tower case, and the fans are quiet at idle.
My room temp now is 25C, at idle mobo = 27C, socket is 30C, core is 11C (which isnt accurate until after about 45C )

Vcore is not risky until its over 1.55 volts.

Hey there

I will work on the air case in a future.
By now I'm testing this:

  • 3,6 Ghz
  • 1,163 Vcore
  • Idle temps
  • Core 18,5ºC
  • Socket 30,5ºC
  • Mobo 28ºC
  • Load temps
  • Core 41ºC
  • Socket 59ºC
  • Mobo 35ºC

It seems that I'm getting better results, isn't it?

Should I keep testing lowering the Vcore till find the right stability?

I think youre as low as you can go on vcore at 3.6ghz.
