Help with Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 ohms

Thread Starter
I have an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card, and I'm wondering if it's powerful enough to drive the 250 ohms, or should I get the 80 ohms instead?

I will use them for gaming and listening to music. I listen to a lot of electronic music like dubstep, house music, trance, vocal trance, a bit of rock, and some hip-hop.

Thanks for your help!

The Xonar ST works wonderfully on my DT770 Premium 600Ohm.
Just make sure you adjust right/left speakers to max instead of the default 75% and then adjust the headphone amp from 0-32 Ohm to 250Ohm.
