[Solved]System not booting after windows update

I can't remember what the update was as I can only boot into safe mode which doesnt list updates (Unless there a way that someone could point out)

I get a signal on my DVI port, but my DP do not receive any.

When it get's to the windows logo, the system reboots and repeats the cycle.

Last thing it did last night was install some windows update (noticed it as I was shutting down the system)

What steps should I take at this point?

System backup and recovery services were disabled, and I do not have a DVD/CD rom on the system.

Booted into safemode and schjeduled a chkdsk, I can now boot without having to go into safemode.

However, I still do not have my primary monitor working, says there's no signal (DisplayPort) I've checked the cable, and tried different ports.

Monitor is a VG248QE. I'm going to turb the monitor off for a few minutes, as this has been reported by other owners. Fingers crossed!

Resolved, had to unplug it for about 10 minutes. Apparently a common issue with these monitors.

Changed to Resolved. smile.gif
