On it's own, probably not.

But you'll be able to pick up a second one for xfire for cheap and then you'll be good.

and then have to wait months for crossfire support every time a game is released, or at best have a stuttery unplayable mess.

There is good and bad to crossfire, I dont think the good outweighs the bad unless all you do is benchmark.

I ended up getting an used 7950 Dual-X With Boost 3GB version. Failry cheap too.

But ofcourse my luck, the one that i wanted to buy had a coil whine, so i bought another one. This one, is the worst clocker ever. It cant even handle 1170/1500 @1,25v whistle.gif

Just my luck tho.

at 1100 core it is already as fast as a stock 280X. hope your cpu is oc'ed.

edit: yup, at 4.4GHz, it should keep up with the 7950.

My mate's 7950 can OC like nothing on 1250/1600 air cooled. But i guess its his luck. Tomorrow ill try to find a nice balance on 1100/1500 without letting it use too much voltage, i believe that would be a sweetspot. Thanks.

try 1100 without touching the voltage and just maxing out the Power Li (Trixx). if you are not using mantle, i advise that you settle for 13.12 drivers or ask the 7900 club.

you may have to set the fan in manual to keep the temps down when oc'ed. keep them under 80C (core and vrms).
