I have two video cards now.

i now have a r9 290x and a his radeon hd 7970. would it be posible to run the 7970 along the side of the 290x and I don't mean crossfire.

Why would you need to run two different cards? Mining isn't profitable with GPUs at this point.

why would you want them in the same machine then ? you are better off selling one of them and buying an identical one to the one you decide to keep , sell that 7970 and get another r9 290 or r9 290x for some crossfire action ! thumb.gif

I was thinking of doing that if i where to go crossfire r9 290x what would be the pros and the cons of crossfire. lately i have been hearing a lot of cons on crossfire.

Crossfire 290x's are probably only useful for multiple monitor gaming, or 1440p gaming.

well no true if you want to max out every video game out there @ 1080p with all filters and AA to the maximum and keep 60fps minimum frame rate at all time rolleyes.gif
