I cant believe I overlooked that.

Uninstall Avast.
Thats near the top of the list of common reasons a machine will see the internet but fail to connect to websites.
Have you tried pinging google?

I apologize, I was mistaken. Apparently I've been running it with no AV for a while. Avast isn't there.

Also just ran CCleaner. Still nothing.

1) Is it only this htpc that is affected?

2) Do you input all your household devices ip's manually into windows? Or do you let dhcp handle it?

3) What settings (if any) have changed in the router? Also what model is it?

I noticed you are using .1.1 in your screenshot... my netgear router default is .0.1 (just throwing that out there)

I noticed you are using .1.1 in your screenshot... my netgear router default is .0.1 (just throwing that out there)

1) Yes. I have 3 or 4 wired devices, and 5 wireless devices (I believe, I'd have to count.....rigs only, not including phones / tablets). This is the ONLY rig affected. Whether its wired or wireless.

2) No. Only one that's put in manually is my NAS. The rest are all handled by DHCP. Router's interface shows all DHCP clients are fine and working. This particular HTPC has already changed IP's from 119 to 104 (and I manually put in 50 at one point).

3) I have changed nothing recently. I just got this router (Netgear Nighthawk) because my Asus router was not working with Charter (the Asus router in question that this rig still thinks its connected to). This rig HAS been connected to my Nighthawk via DHCP before I killed it (water cooling accident, don't ask). It was also functioning just fine when I first booted up on air cooling yesterday. It crashed or rebooted from updates or SOMETHING (TV was off so I have no clue what happened), and ever since then....no internet, just network.

Ok... it could be that there is an old and/or corrupted version of that adapter... is your adapter named "network connection 2" (or another number)?

If you go into the regisrty you can see if this is the issue or not.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\

Edit:

Oops just remembered you said the wired connection doesnt work either... this is most likely no the issue

Wireless shows up as "Network Connection 3".

I'm THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS close to formatting the stupid thing, lol. I don't want to. It'll take me 3 months to get all the data back.

Not sure what you're asking here.

Every other rig in the network works fine with network and internet.

THIS rig, works on the network just fine. But no internet for some reason. And I THINK it stems from the fact that for some odd reason it still thinks its connected to that Asus router I had for like a day.

Sorry, I was all like "ermagherd but you could just back it up over the network!". If LAN transfers work okay you could just move over the steam folder (and others) to that meaty server of yours.
