3570k running at 90c with watercooling

I bought a 3570k and H60 watercooling about 3 years ago. I have not dont any OC with this card since then, but decided to try.

When I started CoreTemp, it said my temperature was 56c idle, and almost 90c on full load (Prime95).

Is there any chance CoreTemp could be wrong? I have no idea why I would have such high temps. Should I reapply my thermal paste?

How did you buy a 3570K 3 years ago? Who gave you a Delorean?

Check the temps with something like HWMonitor. What are the core temps?

Download something like Real Temp or HWmonitor and check temps again, idle is high. What's your vcore on the cpu maybe you set it too high.

Internal pump could have failed, I had one go recently on an antec model on another rig. Sounds very familiar.

When you were installing the h60 did you hear a swishing sound? the reason I ask is because I remember coming across a lot of those only partially filled, which could lead to a pump failure.
